Privacy policy
This note explains what the journal pages do with information. It is written for readers in the United Kingdom.
General provisions
Psypagconference is a static journal. The essays and these two information pages are files served to your browser. The journal does not run an account system, a shop or a comment form.
What data may be processed
Reading a page does not ask you for a name, email address or payment detail. If you contact the journal through a channel that the site later publishes, that message would contain whatever you choose to send. No such channel is published on these pages now.
Technical data
A normal visit can involve the address of the page, the time of the request, a browser type and a general network address in server logs kept by the host. Those logs are a function of hosting, not of an account on this journal. This page does not name a host and does not set a retention period the journal does not control.
Cookies
The pages you are reading do not set a cookie for analytics, advertising or login. A browser may still store a page in its own cache. If a later version of the site adds a cookie, this note should say what it is for and how long it lasts.
Purposes of processing
The pages are published so you can read the essays. Technical records, where a host keeps them, are used to deliver the files and to keep the service available. The journal does not sell reader data and does not build a marketing profile.
Legal bases
Where a privacy law applies to a visit, the relevant basis is the one that law gives for providing a page the reader asked for, and for the limited records a host needs to deliver it. This journal does not claim a registration, a certificate or compliance with a named statute.
Third-party services
The essays do not embed third-party players, fonts or trackers. Links in the journal, where an essay has them, are part of that essay. Opening another site is a visit to that site, under its own notice.
Data storage and protection
The journal files are static documents. Do not send sensitive personal information through an unpublished channel. The journal does not describe a security programme it does not operate.
User rights
Depending on where you are, privacy law may give you a right to ask what is held, to correct it, or to object to a use. Because these pages do not collect an account or a form, there is often no reader record here to show. A request can be made through a channel published on this website, if one is published.
Age
The journal is written for a general adult readership. It is not directed at children, and it does not ask children to provide personal information.
Policy changes
If the pages start to collect something they do not collect now, or if a cookie is added, this text should be updated in the same step. The date on the journal is the date of the current pages.
Contact about privacy
Privacy questions can be raised through the channels published on this website. This page does not invent an email address, a telephone number or a postal address.
